UO Science Policy Initiative

Below is an invitation to collaborate with like minded individuals that are interested in the intersection of scientific research and government policy.

Invitation: The new school year has officially started, which means that it’s time to get the ball rolling on the UO Science Policy Initiative. We are a group of undergraduate and graduate students and post docs interested in the intersection of scientific research and governmental policy that meet once a month to discuss important current topics in the field.

Although this is only our second year, we would eventually like to obtain funding to take trips to Salem and even Washington DC to actually talk to representatives about the importance of increased funding for research and development and other causes important to UO SPI.

If you’re interested in joining UO SPI, please email us at by Friday, October 2. We are planning on having our first meeting of the year in mid October.
